One-Bedroom Apartment

The set-up we have in our little one-bedroom apartment is pretty sweet. It was funny moving in, and that my meager kitchen utensils and essential supplies fit perfectly into the row of cabinets. We have our own entrance, yet the kids can take a quick jaunt to give Grandma and Grandpa a hug whenever they want.

We're living out of suitcases, tripping over toys, dining at a kids' table, but it's working. There are times, when we all feel like Ethan look in the picture above. Kind of tired of each other, feeling like we need our space. The kids are doing their best, but I think the transition of moving and not having things "normal" is getting old for them.

Tonight we went to pizza with some friends, and the kids were happily enjoying their pizza, until all of a sudden Ethan started wailing, begging us to take him home.  Tim took him to the car and finally left with him, even though we weren't exactly done with our meal.  We figured out in the end that he just needed some space from people.  I'm sure if we had to live in the quarters we now have for a longer period of time, we would get used to it and of course we're thankful in general for even having a clean home to live in that has modern conveniences.  But you know what I mean.
