Fourth of July Weekend

Kristi came to visit for the Fourth of July, so we fit in a barbecue at our house and one at Gabe and Karen's so we could enjoy our time with her.

We used the hippo bubble machine:

Of course we had our nightly helping of ice cream:

Ethan was thrilled that we played croquet.  I think he even beat me. 

We did a few fireworks that night.

When it actually came time for fireworks on the Fourth of July (I had pictures, but I erased them accidentally), the kids ended up hiding under the blanket and falling asleep! And that's saying a lot because we were close to the fireworks show and it was loud!!!
