May 26, 2010: Kate

May 26 was Kate and Ethan's last day with their wonderful babysitter Barb. While they were at her house those last few days, they got to play with Kate's granddaughters Anna and Janessa, and their dog Max, all who were visiting from Alaska.

Here she is at a soccer game enjoying all of her friends:
Kate likes to pretend she's sleeping when she's in her carseat. Every time I go to get her out, she closes her eyes and "fake sleeps."
Kate loves her socks and her "brown shoes". When she's ready to take a nap, she'll ask me to get her some socks, and I have to suggest about five pair before she finds a pair that she likes. If she doesn't like them she says, "NNnnnoo, no, no, no, no. . . . ", like seriously, please try again. This week I had to hide the brown shoes because she insisted on wearing them, even though they have huge holes in them and leave red marks on her feet because they are too small. She has adorable white sandals that match everything, but instead she insists on the old, beat up brown shoes. So they are gone. . .
This is Kate overcome with joy as she sees Grandma and Grandpa!
