In September, we had a fun picnic to celebrate our friends Beca and Steve. Beca's birthday was in September, and her husband, Steve was leaving for a year-long deployment in the National Guard. They have two small children and my heart goes out to them because I know it will be a tough year for them.
So we celebrated them both to let them know how much we appreciate their sacrifice and service.
We had a huge cake, sloppy joe's, and great weather and company.

| Another celebration was the baptism of our new god daughter, Eli. Her parents, Beth and Mike, are new at our church and a family that we are thankful to have as new friends. |
Tim's birthday is in September, so the kids and I had fun decorating his cake (of course with Ethan's suggestions of a football and soccer ball):
