The Time of Our Lives

Posted by Picasa

A couple of days ago Tim and I went on a mini-vacation to Idaho Falls. We had a free pass to stay at a hotel, which was an adventure in itself with a four-month-old. We spent Saturday in Harriman State Park x-country skiing almost five hours! We were pretty tired, especially since Tim carried Ethan in a Snugli pack the whole way. Thankfully, Ethan slept the entire time, except for perhaps the last 100 yards, when he decided he was very hungry!

Well, on the way to Harriman, one of my favorite songs was playing, Mark Schultz' "Time of My Life". This was kind of "our song" when we got married. How cool to reflect on our lives since our wedding day and how far we've come. We've had so many great memories--our honeymoon to Glacier and Banff, our crazy first year of marriage with Tim finishing school, a trip to Europe, wonderful bike rides, a marathon, time near both our families, great friends from church, a move into a new home, graduate degrees, and the birth of our son. I'm having the time of my life. . . . Even when Ethan is screaming for no apparent reason as Tim and I try to share a hotel room and keep the kid quiet so he doesn't wake the entire hotel.
