Ballet and Skiing

Kate had her first dance recital this week.  Here is my pretty ballerina:

She was so excited to be on a real stage and she smiled the entire night.  She also had a Minnie Mouse costume for her tap dance:

Over Christmas break, we had 3 cross-country skiing outings. They were one of the highlights of our holiday.  Ethan and Kate were both troopers but I was especially impressed with Ethan.  He has been my Amazing Race buddy this fall and we made this ski trail into our Amazing Race adventure. . . pushing ourselves to beat all the other teams and meet Phil to win this leg of the race. 

On the way out, he glided his way through all the fast parts of the trail and rarely fell.
